Join Katelyn Allegra for an exclusive tour of the ancient flour mill , with records dating back to 1323 and run by the Tallon family since 1859. James Tallon, a 5th-generation miller, will show us how the restored mill works using water from the river, then guide us through a hands-on traditional Irish soda bread-baking demonstration using flour milled right there at the mill. Tea and coffee will be served along the way, and you'll leave with the fresh loaf you made, a bag of flour to take home and some new connections! A relaxed morning to connect over good bread, good company, and a piece of Irish heritage. Saturday, 5th September 🕗 10:00 – 13:00 📍 Martry Mill, Martry, Kells, Co. With over 20 years of experience across editorial, television, and commercial food content, she brings a depth of understanding to her work that goes beyond aesthetics: she understands not just how food looks, but how a photograph makes you feel. Her career has spanned Food Editor at Top Billing Magazine, Creative Food Director at Expresso Morning Show, and Social Media Content Director at Food Network , before establishing The Kate Tin as an international studio working with clients including Spinneys in Dubai, Beyond Good in the USA, and European dairy boards. Her work has been recognised by the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year awards and the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
